"And that's how winnin's done" great tip keep em comming
People use acetone and even gasoline everyday. I have cans of gasoline sitting my garage. I use it to mow the yard, run weed eaters, run chainsaws, run my vehicle. Squirting a minimal amount into a tumbler, which unlike a combustible gas engine, doesn't add an ignitor to the acetone. I've been doing this for a month now. Nary a problem, chicken little.Guys please be careful using acetone, it is similar to gasoline as far as the lower explosive limit but has a wider explosive range than gasoline.

No chicken little and never said don't use it, just said to be very careful. You don't think the motor starting on your tumbler starting couldn't ignite the vapors? - NOPE
People drive cars everyday for years too and never have an accident, then one day they do. - This is so ridiculous I have no words.
Yes it is. I work in a large chemical plant and we try to minimize the risks with the chemicals we use. One stupid move can hurt a lot of people not to mention environmental hazards.Life is risk.
By the law of averages I should have completely blown up my garage, burnt down my house, and at least melted my face. None of that has happened. We are talking adding goof off to rice to clean brass, GTFO.Yes it is. I work in a large chemical plant and we try to minimize the risks with the chemicals we use. Dude, I'm not criticizing you for what you're doing. However, there may be folks reading this that aren't aware how dangerous using acetone can be. By all means carry on.By the law of averages I should have completely blown up my garage, burnt down my house, and at least melted my face. None of that has happened. You are peeing down my back and calling it rain. Absolutely you are criticizing me. You infer I am telling people to do dangerous acts, which I would never do. Your passive aggressive denial, once called out, is classic.Dude, I'm not criticizing you for what you're doing. Fire Capt. told me, "BFD, we all know the stuff you're into. If your house in on fire, it gets burnt to the ground, because I ain't sending people in there!" I replied, "I know, ya'll just basement savers anyway!"I got a hood laugh out of this. I learned something new and I like the drama what can I say.
Lots of what if's in this world. Think of all the cool stories I would not be able to tell if someone warned me about all the bad stuff.
We should play a game and see who is the most dangerous garage. Lol no way in hell they will even try to put out my house. 100lbs gun powder, probably 40-50 gallons gas in 5 gallon cans. About 30 gallons methanol, oxygen tanks. , nitrogen tanks, lots of oil.
Thinking of it I can't believe my house is still standing.
