The nasty winter weather right now.

We are in the teens here in GA. Last night the wind was one of the strongest ever. Sounded like a freight train. Blew the metal table and chairs around the back deck. have trees down all over our property and some in the drive. Hope Jill can drive around them I don't want to try starting the Tractor to move them.
Just went outside to check the damage. I'm a shorts and "T" shirt kind of guy. It's cold!
Water is frozen on the pool.
Samson & Cassie love the cold weather!

You know it's cold when the sun looks like this;

We are about 100mi north of Montana.

Photo was taken out my front door, just after noon, yesterday.

Sun is hanging low, but the days are already getting longer.

Stay warm friends!!
Great Picture!!!! Really COLD!

After three years of owning my truck, I recently found out what that button was on the key fob…."remote start".
Mines even lazier

An app I can utilize anywhere I have a signal. Also great if you need to unlock the doors or tailgate for a buddy to get something or leave something.

Our last vehicle that got totaled a Pathfinder had just about every electronic option. Jill never used any of them. All she did was push the Start button and drive.
A lot of the new option are a waste of money unless you use them. This new Kia has the entire dash like a computer screen. All voice commands and even steers itself. I told Jill good luck with that.

Idk kinda nice wearing shorts in December. The location can't be beaten its just the idiots cant get around
That's a perk of living in Saskatchewan. 1.2 million people in a province around the same square mileage as Texas if I'm correct. The mob with all its bad ideas ain't clamouring for a spot in a place that gets this freaking cold every year haha. Not hard to find peace and quiet up here.

The year before hurricane Sandy destroyed Long Island, I had some storm related flooding on an intermittent basis. It took me a while to determine that water wasn't flowing into the house but that the water table was so high that water rose up through the concrete floor. My wife was exasperated by the recurring problem and the loss of carpets, furniture, etc. Her solution was easy, "fix this or we are moving".

I had several water experts here and ultimately put in an extravagant French Drain system under the house. The entire basement had to be ripped out and everything except the oil burner removed. It cost nearly $10k to get the job done and then I had to rebuild the basement, walls and all.

Just today, my wife looked into the backyard at our new lakefront property and then ran downstairs to see how bad the basement was, only to find it to be dry as a bone. With a big smile on her face, she said "that $10k drain was the best money we ever spent."
VH,

Smart move. The money spent on correcting the basement water issue will be the best investment you ever made. It definitely pays to handle the water properly, otherwise it becomes a reoccurring nightmare.

Not to mention the added benefit of a happy wife.

You guys probably don't have to run #1 diesel in your tractor down there. We've been running #1 since October this year, it's been a long one already!!
