Idk kinda nice wearing shorts in December. The location can't be beaten its just the idiots cant get around
I couldn't live with the idiots and the oppressive government.

I'll take a little bad weather and freedom any day. Not much you can do about the idiots; they have infiltrated everywhere these days.

Only a day into winter and I'm ready for spring! This has been going on and off for over a month now already Since deer season. Been in the -50s the last couple days with the wind chill. My reloading room has never been cleaner🥴
The red is closed and the candy cane roads are no travel advised. The ! Marks are bad spots(drifts) which I am guessing are anywhere from 3-8 foot in spots on the highway.
I'm in NW MN.
Even though our actual air temps get colder than yours alot of the time...
The wind doesn't blow here like it does in western ND
It always seems to be about 5-10 mph faster in western ND, than here

The year before hurricane Sandy destroyed Long Island, I had some storm related flooding on an intermittent basis. It took me a while to determine that water wasn't flowing into the house but that the water table was so high that water rose up through the concrete floor. My wife was exasperated by the recurring problem and the loss of carpets, furniture, etc. Her solution was easy, "fix this or we are moving".

I had several water experts here and ultimately put in an extravagant French Drain system under the house. The entire basement had to be ripped out and everything except the oil burner removed. It cost nearly $10k to get the job done and then I had to rebuild the basement, walls and all.

Just today, my wife looked into the backyard at our new lakefront property and then ran downstairs to see how bad the basement was, only to find it to be dry as a bone. With a big smile on her face, she said "that $10k drain was the best money we ever spent."

-21 air temp and only 18MPH winds this morning. First time since Tuesday I have seen my creek. Its amazing the high winds we have gotten this year Earnhardt. More days than I can remember of sustained winds in the 40, 50, and even 60 mph. Roads are still closed this morning so far but it looks nice out, may have to go for a walk and get some fresh air and sun🤪
