Yep!!!!! All of the above!Berger Hunting VLDs
Worst bullet by far I ever used. Blow up close and don't penetrate, pencil through far. Extremely picky to get to shoot and had to be in the lands.

Not sure. This year we took 2 deer with the same 7mm rem mag with the 162 eldx. One at 300 and the other at 450. The bullet in the picture was from the 300 yard shot with a muzzle velocity of 3200 fps. Both deer required follow up shots. What was the impact velocity? Just out of curiosity.
Yeah they definitely got the job done but I like bang flops and the two most recent deer I witnessed didn't even act hit until I told the hunter to put one in the neck. These were big bodied mule deer bucks and the hunters used my loaner 7mm rem mag with a 162 eldxIf you recovered them didn't they do the job?? I'm not a hornady fan by any means just wondering. Recovered bullet = dead animal?
Should have more than enough fps to make the bullet work. Weird. Not sure. This year we took 2 deer with the same 7mm rem mag with the 162 eldx. One at 300 and the other at 450.
