On that note, I've always been fascinated by Australia ever since I was a kid and wanted to see it…but also I cannot tolerate extreme heat very well, AND am deathly afraid in a visceral, reflexive, unreasonable way, of BIG spiders. And for me it's uncomfortably hot if it's over 25 celcius / 77 Fahrenheit, and if it's bigger than a grape it's A HUGE FRIGGIN SPIDER!!!!!

So I think I have the wisdom now to be content liking THE IDEA of Australia and not actually going there

You somewhat get used to it lol. Thursday was 100+ no Idea humidity wise. Did the range and mowed the lawn drank 1.5 gallons of water. I just bring a towel and extra shirts wherever I go lol
