J Sip and Sons Uller Suppressor?

Hello All,
I'm shopping for my first suppressor and have been strongly considering the Rugged Alaskan 360. However, someone mentioned the Uller from J Sip & Sons. Apparently it's over 8" of which half of it goes over the barrel and thus only half of it extends in front. So before I start ordering a couple short barrels, I'd like to get some input on these as it would gain me a couple inches of barrel length.
Specs I'm looking for...

• Hunting rig for elk and deer
• Looking at building a 338 Sherman Mega or Max plus some smaller calibers
• Currently have a 280AI and 300WM that have CarbonSix with Sendero profiles
• I desire a can that is super short, weighs nothing, Hollywood quiet, and rated for up to 338 Lapua - While I'm dreaming, I want to get drawn for a Bigfoot

Anywho, does anyone have experience with the Uller or J Sip? I'm a bit nervous ordering an item I'm stuck with and can never sell from a company and product there are no reviews for.

Justin is a great gunsmith! He did a barrel for me a few years back when I lived in the area. He also barreled a target gun for a friend of mine that he used to win the Utah f class 2 years in a row. Great gunsmith but I didn't know he was building cans. I'm sure the cans are high quality but....... are they what YOU want?

Here is my take on it. While it does sound intriguing, I have learned from hard won experience, that when it comes to suppressors, your best bet is to stick with a maker that has a good track record and is actually going to be in business 15-20 years from now. A suppressor is a lifetime purchase. Yes, you can sell one, but as an individual it really isn't that viable. I have a Crux that I bought when I lived it TX. It is a decoration now.

As for the suppressor in question, with 4" of reflex, it doesn't give much room up front for baffles, which are the driving factor in sound mitigation. I would be more interested if it was 5 or 6" up front and 2-3" of reflex, especially as the diameter is "only" 1.5". With that few baffles I would want to see 1.675-1.75" of diameter. Essentially, what I am saying is that I would expect this can to be very loud in comparison to other large caliber suppressors such as the Alaskan, Omega 36, or AB Raptor 338.

BTW, I do have an Alaskan 360 that I use on my 21" 338 Mega. It is pretty loud in comparison to my other "regular use" cans (Harvester, Harvester EVO, Sandman Ti, Nomad 30) which are all used on short barreled "standard" long and short action cartridges. It does exactly what I need it to do, however, and that is to tame recoil to a very manageable level and not blow my eardrums out when firing a shot or two when hunting.
