The Facebook crazies

I've also seen a guy try and shoot a moose in the head and succeed in blowing its nose off. So what ur saying is you would rather shoot for a 3" target vs an 8" target?
And respectfully, I've shot everything in the chest, shoulder, neck, or behind the shoulder, farthest I had an animal run is an antelope ran 75feet. The key to good meat is getting it cooling right away and being clean, don't get hair all over it. Gut it and get it hanging in a cooler or debone it right then and get it in a cooler or fridge

I didn't tell you to do anything. You are the one that claimed there was no reason to head shoot because you can't measure horns. I simply said you should consider why other people would do it. In fact, I said I didn't have a problem with a good square shot behind the shoulder.

I do find it funny that this guy misses by 2 feet and you think the problem is that he tried to shoot one in the head. Again, it's the exception, not the rule.

not gonna mention names but a certain writers friend posted that the new super high technology Hornady 147 gr ELD Match bullets coupled with the supa high tech modern 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge design enables a fella to take elk out to 1 MILE !

well, I posted a ballistics table out to one mile and immediately got angry msgs on Facebook from this writer demanding I back off from this fella 'cause he has a background of sorts, I deleted my posts and the guy hasn't spoken to me since .....

seems that facts and truth are some pesky annoyances to some folks...

yikes. in the general population, the real Facebook gun conversations would be about ghost gun machine gun assault rifles with 30 round magazine clips firing heat seeking bullets that can't miss. Fully fitted out with weapons of war like unlicensed shark bayonets which were bought through the gun show loophole and don't belong on our streets.

I would have left it up. It gives me pleasure ****ing off stupid people with facts!

While BS ing at the local range, a new shooter was asking for advice on wether he should get a fixed power or variable rifle scope. Another shooter proceeded to explain to him that Leupold was the only brand of variable scope available that wouldnt change point of impact as the magnification was changed .

an old hunter sais to us young guns : why use magnums ? you are trying to put a hole in the animal not the bloody mountain. all you need is a 30-06.
