The 25 sst...up and running

I've had good luck with N570 in several cartridges accuracy wise and it produces the highest velocity's in most situations.

I had my new 25SST out for it's maiden voyage this weekend. To say I was impressed would be an understatement.

Rifle specs:
Kelbly Atlas Tac SA w. pinned lug and 20MOA rail
26" 1:7.5" Proof Sendero w. 3 port Muscle brake
Manners EH1 w. Gen 1 mini chassis
Trigger Tech Diamond Pro
ARC M10 36mm low rings
ZCO 4-20×50 MPCT1

ADG 25SST brass
Fed GM215M
H1000 (56.0-61.0)
131 Blackjack

I loaded up a ladder test, plus a few 3 round groups just to see what it would do.

First 4 shots from the rifle for zero @ 100 yards. Top is cold/clean/new, then 3 into the bottom hole. This is going to be good...

So I moved it out and shot my ladder test. I never did hit pressure. Bolt lift never changed, even my highest load showed no signs of pressure, no shiny marks, swipes, primer is still rounded and no cratering in the slightest.

56.0 -2956
56.5-2972
57.0-3018
57.5-3049
58.0-3060
58.5-3086
59.0-3131
59.5-3159
60.0-3216
60.5-3254
61.0c-3286 (#14 from the barrel)

I figured my loads were all safe, so I brought it in to 200, and shot a few 3 round groups. Adjusting zero slightly between groups.
I had a 3 round group of 60.0 loaded too. Let a buddy shoot that group. Two into one hole, then he yanked the 3rd. But, 3218fps, ES9, SD 4.6. I think he might be gathering parts for his own now.

awesome, sweet looking rig, All 3 25sst i have seem to find the sweet spot between 3230 and 3250 with the 131 blackjack and a 26 inch 7.5 twist barrel. love that stock you got

You know, I have not really checked. I had them.loaded before I even had my rifle from other's seating depth info. 2.885" COAL fits very well in the DBM, and feeds flawlessly in my Kelbly Atlas Tac SA with no feed ramps mods needed.
Looking mighty good Lance. I havent heard of a bad 25sst yet! What jump?

I don't shoot as well as Lance does but here's shots 5,6&7 out of my 25sst on Sunday. Low right was clean and since it had about stopped copper fouling I decided to touch a couple more off. I'm 100% sold! No load development, just 59 grns of n565 and if I remember right, about .040" shorter than what everyone else was seeing for them touching the lands (loaded these for break in before getting the rifle). Shot one over the magneto at 3113fps through my 24" bbl. With the brake, there is almost no recoil. I heard it from others but took it with a grain of salt. I really don't think it's much harder to spot hits and doesn't jump much more than my 11# 204. This is my first full custom from the bottom up rather than just a rebuild and I have no regrets. Just need some more days off to get properly acquainted.

Thanks Rich, I'm happy with how it turned out. As always, it's been a pleasure doing business with you. Got a couple coues tags for my sister in law and I that I hope to test drive it on. I was all worried about not having time enough for load development before the hunt starts the end of this month, but from the 20 rounds I got through it Sunday evening, I'm not sweating it at all now.
