This is the problem with hammer bullets supporters. You guys get sooo defensive. Why come at Ed for educating people on their options? He never bashed your beloved Hammer bullets. I mentioned that I tried them a while back and they weren't my cup of tea - the reason was the BCs. They were nowhere near as good as was advertised. Since this is a long range hunting site, I always chuckle when they are mentioned on here and continue to be blown away at the cult like following. I mailed the remaining hammers I had to a buddy in Cali.

I don't agree. He made a statement that I dont totally agree with but I did not see it as a fight. I saw it as having some merit based on his background. I got roughly a similar response form feenix even after stating how I saw benefits to the bullet but finding some of it hard to believe. I've got a lot of respect for both you and feenix Here but even by his own standards he should never try anything but Berger and the high bc they carry.
I am a skeptic at heart and admitted that I would take a look at any bullet I think my fit for what I need. But left that thread a little dumbfounded that I shouldn't be able to be a bit skeptical of claims. Same as I was with hammer. It took a long time before I finally tried them.
Again I may be off base here Feenix which probably got started by quoting a post I may be should not have and just commented on my thoughts alone. I've been wrong many times in my life and I will gladly own them if my experience changes my opinion. That's all I am trying. To say in these threads is my initial opinion and thoughts nothing more so I'll leave it at this and move forward with productive conversation. Kinda went off the rails in a way I regret

Once again, I think it is awesome that there are so many options out there for us to choose from and people like Ed willing to share that information with us.

Yes. Lead free in everything except shooting targets.

Considering they were developed for gas guns, I doubt Brian has messed with them. And didn't he get inconclusive data with Hammers anyway?

Heck I use Barnes 250-290 solids in IL. Perform fantastically!

Dang it. This is the Texas bullet thread, not the Montana CBB thread. Anyways, I have the Litz book. BCs are listed for a number of Hammers.

He results were conclusive from what I remember, just not well received by some.

Having options helps me to reaffirm my decision on my bullet choice.

Yes no lead in California. Thanks to all the guys posting about non lead bullets . I am finding a lot of different companies on here.

Probably them bubbas that shoot game at longer ranges than I will attempt. BC plays a factor way out there. My long range hunting is a 500yd poke. BC consideration within this/my range takes last chair to lethality.
