To add to the confusion, it depends on what cartridge you are shooting when it comes to temp stability. Varget is extremely temp stable in the 308. Yet it may not do so well in other calibers as mentioned above.
The change that affects me most is going from winter to summer. Most of my game shooting is in the summer and although I work up loads in cooler temps this is always on my mind. Even some of the reportedly temp stable powders get wonky above 90 degrees. Some good cold weather loads can get problematic in hot weather.
