Sure did, couldn't be happier, I'll have to wait another week till I can shoot again, but hoping my barrel likes the factory burger 185gr ammo and if I can get 2750fps out of it I'll be all set till I can reload.Seeing the results makes me want to build another shorty that thing turned out AWESOME!
I would assume it would be a case of lost or forgotten ammo. Having a rifle with commonly available ammo can be a definite plus when traveling, even if it's only a few hours away.Awesome rifle. Great kills also.
Just out of curiosity, what usually dictates you having to buy ammo the day of the hunt? I saw that as part of the criteria and as much as I understand store bought ammo availability, having to find last minute ammo has just never been an issue with me. (Yet) But I also only hunt local at the time so maybe someone who travels more has a different obstacle I haven't experienced.
