Swarovski X5 Riflescope Review

The Swarovski X5 turret is large but it is easy to see in low light situations. I used a factory Ruger 6.5 Creedmoor and with factory 140 AMAX's was able to dial up to 1400 yards, then it hit at 1500 yards using the elevation lines on the reticle. I am not sure the Vortex can do that.

Just bought a X5. Do I need high Talley rings for my medium weight barrel?

Might help if you mention which model. 1" rings will work for either.

X5 5-25x56 30mm on a PLR HS Precision. Thinking Talley lightweight ring mount combo. Not sure I need to go 20 MOA rail for a flat shooting 6.5 PRC and all the adjustments of the SWAROVSKI X5

You do not need a 20 MOA base with an X5, it has enough MOA to get past 1000 yards.

Personally I just mounted the same scope with a sendero contour and used Hawkins rings. There mediums worked perfect.
