Suppressed Magnums

I have to believe an injury from long ago or maybe multiple contribute to this.
True 90* port brakes are definitely more comfortable fo Me.
Football, dirt bikes, etc.
I still ride today!

Compared to a brake the recoil reduction is garbage IMO. It's an obvious distinction which works better.
As I clearly noted, the MB works better in felt recoil reduction than the suppressor, but it is not garbage, as you eloquently described it. On November 5, the garbage peeps changed the recoil history of this great nation. 🤣

Hey guys.

southpa is trolling. ;)
Why is it that whenever this topic comes up the guys who like supressors take it so personal that there are guys who don't care for them? You don't have to be sub conscious. It's fine that you have issues that other simply do not.
As for trolling, with repsect, I think you should probly be around a little longer than since last week to come here and start pointing fingers about trolling. How are we supposed to have the liberties of freedom if we are not allowed to stand on our own opinions and experience? Would you just expect me to lay down and accept your opinions as my own? I believe you owe a public apology.
I will stand on my experience thank you very much.

I have over half a dozen suppressors and they sit in my safe unused due to lack of recoil management. I did pick up a TB Magnus-K-RR. I've yet to do detailed comparison but back to back shot strings using it and then a Without Warning TMB brake I find the Magnus recoil reduction to be on part with the TMB. Shocked is my reaction.

I'd like to go suppressed, but don't want the additional weight or length.

For myself, recoil suppression has nothing to do it. I don't have anything with enough recoil to warrant recoil dampening, and brakes are out……..due to the added decibels! memtb

Supressors are garbage at recoil reduction. Which is why they sit collecting dust
My suppressor certainly doesn't (or anyone else's I know running one) sit around and collect dust.
You have your opinion on whether or not suppressors are effective at recoil reduction and I respect that. However, I would aggressively argue the opposite. I've got a buddy that just suppressed his .45 cal SML (converted CVA Scout originally in .45-70) and I've shot that rifle WITH and WITHOUT the suppressor. Hands down I'd rather shoot it suppressed and I GUARANTEE you would to if you could feel the difference. 😉

Yes again, I'm not advocating that supressor do not reduce recoil....what I've said is comparing recoil reduction between supressors AND brakes. I've not said supressors are NOT effective at recoil reduction. I said they are garbage at it compared to my brakes. Again, it is my EXPERIENCE that my supressors DO NOT reduce recoil nearly as much as my brakes. This is not rocket surgery guys. It's just a simple fact. For that reason our supressors are nothing more than an overpriced extra long set of ear plugs. So we use ear pro and leave the extra length and weight at home.
Sorry, but I do not have experience with shooting suppressed or braked muzzle loaders. This thread was about magnum centerfire. But I'm still sure a brake does much better at recoil reduction than a supressor for a muzzy...🤷‍♂️

Only a troll would look at a profile and make such a comment. ;)

Just because the profile says a week doesn't mean that I am a "noob". :D

If you can't take a joke stop making them.

I said they are garbage at it compared to my brakes.
That 'caveat'/comparison seems to be missing in your #46 below…🤷‍♂️

Well, I do….as well as suppressed/braked 'Magnum Centerfire's. Before you say you're sure that "a brake does much better at recoil reduction than a suppressor for a muzzy" you should actually experience it. It's simply not true for the specific rifle in the thread I "linked". The suppressor added more weight & length which made it MORE effective than the brake initially used. 😉

I'm aware of that. My reference of the suppressed SML's was strictly to mention the effectiveness of a suppressor on them…..and by the way they compare VERY closely to Centerfire Magnum's.

Again, I'm not sure how muzzys got into this. Why would I say anything about a muzzy? You brought them up in a thread not related to them. I simply said what I thought would be the outcome, i really dont care to speak to muzzys. Im not sure why this even entered the convo. Usually this happens to try and prove a point thats essentially not relevant. You sir are moving the goal post. Your opinions of suppressors are just that. It's not a fix all for everyone. I'm sorry of you take offense to the fact that for recoil reduction others dislike supressors. But you certainly do not have to subscribe to my preferences as I do not have to subscribe to yours. There really is no need to try and police others opinions deputy.

Because of the similarity in recoil that "SML's" have to Centerfire Magnums….and in the link I provided the suppressor was simply more effective……and not "garbage".

Well, you're correct on that. As I said in my #64 I RESPECTED your opinion just as well.

🤣😂 Offense? Come on now…nowhere in my posts do I indicate being offended nor react as if I was. It takes A LOT more than that, bro.
