Suggestions for a short barrel long ranger

Another vote for the 260AI. Just finished mine up in November and it is a tack driver. My best accuracy with the 140AMAX is right at 2900fps. I've shot half MOA beyond 800yds. It's my first AI and I didn't think fireforming was nearly as bad as people made it out to be. Loaded up some 100gr AMAX and got a little trigger time shooting MOA at 600yds. Feeds great out of a standard mag. Only problem I have found with it is that it has since made me contemplate replacing my 223 rem barrel with a 223AI.

Sorry for throwing another cartridge in the mix but I can't believe no one has mentioned the 6.5 Creedmoor. If you're throwing around 7mm and 300 mags, it opens up a whole lot of other doors compared to those smaller rounds you were initially considering.
