Strelok Banned in USA

Our government is so crooked, presently. Don't know which way to go. The Dumb Bast**D in the white house is one of them. There is so many that believe what this government and what the news tell them. IT'S SAD! It's on both sides.
If they can't see it. They have their head's stuck in the mud.
I would say that after you see "The Social Dilemma" that a lot of it is mainly the fault of the
social platforms creating fake news, storys, propaganda, etc just to keep you on line for advertising dollars.
Not that the government in general isn't full of corruption on both sides. Always has been and always will be.
I just see it as one side is corrupt but trying in general to preserve America and its laws and traditions. The other side wants to
create a new better America.(sarcasm, communism, socialism, lack of freedom, weapons, etc)

Where we all should be concerned is that the youth are being brainwashed by everything on the web.
They don't have the seasoning of hard lessons learned in life to realize they are being duped.
They will be voters soon enough.

I know of several schools that have shown "The Social Dilemma" to kids to try to educate them about the
evils on line. Education about how social platforms brainwash people is the key to the solution.

Just look at the following of the 6.5 Creedmore. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Wonder what the greatest generation would say/do ?
They wouldn't have the time to reply...they would be too busy working 80 hours a week.
My dad and my Uncle were of that generation. They have passed on. Just the other day
I was talking to a man about a WWII vet that was on Normandy and marched in to Germany
etc. The guy asked him what he thought about all of todays horrendous problems, Covid,
Dems, Reps, huge govt scandals etc. He basically said It is all like saturday morning cartoons
compared to what he had lived through.

No, better.

For two main reasons: CDMs and PDMs. They're going to be at a match I'm shooting in a couple weeks doing PDMs on site for competitors with their big radar. Tell me what's better than a custom BC of your actual load?
Yes again easier not better because strelok pro has the ability to use CDM and to build your own CDM. Ab doesn't have this. Their CDM is closed to editing
Strelok has way more features than ab.
Another feature ab doesn't have is the ability to set the percentage of aerodynamic jump
Strelok is way more in depth but ab does the homework for you in most cases. There are still a lot of bullets they haven't mapped.

Says you.
I don't care to get into a this is better than that thing. AB and the AB staff have set records, and won countless shooting matches. It without question works.

What I do want to add is that AB is customizable. Just not in the way of fudging numbers like some people might like. These CDMs are actual dopler data of the actual projectile. If you have a special rifle with a special barrel and fall into the rare exceptions, you can bring you rifle and load to the booth and they will add it in for you.

However, the use of a CDM as it related to AB does not exclude you from having to true out the data. MV at super sonic, then DSF for trans to sub. That's how it's done on AB.

CDMs are a solution to correcting the disconnect with drag models, it doesn't not make someone suck less, or fix all rounding errors and bad data in.

So, what's a good replacement app for Strelok. I currently have Strelok, and I like it, but sounds like I need to find another. Something not too complex or complicated, but one that supplies me with enough information.
I switched to Hornady Ap because of their podcast and I am impressed with it. It is way better than it used to be.

Geese so dang defensive of a product for a company you don't even work for.
Here's the thing. Unless you make it out to one of their labs you cannot customize numbers. Let's say you point your bullets for example. Now the CDM is no good. You can't adjust it.
I've been using CDM and pushing for its use for more than a decade. Before Hornady, before AB.
Lapua has been mapping drag curves with lidar for longer than any of them.
Brian litz used to publish calculated CD (not lidar confirmed) in his performance of rifle bullets book.
Strelok used to have a tutorial on their website of how to input this data.
I've used strelok and chronographs to develop CDM for longer than ab has even had this feature.
While I'll agree that CDM is the way to go. I'll say it again AB is easier not better.
Strelok has far more features than AB. Making it a better overall product in my mind.
Personally I use both.
I use ab built into my binos for quick point click and correct.
I like the UI in strelok better so I use it for more planned out shots. Recently I've quit using chronos to build CDM in strelok and simply use data spit out by AB to build drag curves in Strelok.
Ab simply doesn't have all the features I've come to enjoy with Strelok

That's not defensive. I stated a fact that AB works. Then the other fact that it is "customizable." Just not in a way that you're describing. Again, I'm not looking to get into a this is better than that thing, and that's what you appear to be wanting to do by comparing the two. Some might say, that is defensive behavior…

To be clear, I'm saying that you are putting things out of context.

I mentioned going to the booth already, so no need to beat that dead horse. It's extremely rare to need that level of customization. The general CDM covers most barrels and loads. Even so, again, most of that "tweaking" can be done in the DSF or with MV. It's not a drag issue. This statement covers 99% of people.

If you point your bullets, then you're changing the dynamics that was originally set by the manufacture. That's a you problem, and you fall into that 1% of people with off equipment. Again, just playing with numbers to match data is a non point mass solver. Live fire data will have more accuracy and is a point mass solver. I can conclude that because strelock is based off ingalls model 1880s.

You just made the point yourself.
BTW show me where you get the 1880s model from.
According to questions I asked Igor about a long time ago he said strelok pro is based as close as possible to a 6 dof solver. Which is why you can input custom aerodynamic jump.

If he was in the Battle of the Bulge too then my dad may have met him.
1st wave @ Normandy, B. of B., His column was attached to Patton after Bulge and was in column held back so Montgomery could be first for propaganda. Dad didn't talk much about it. He passed in '96. Da^^ I miss him.
I had friends and a dad that were in world war 2. My dad was in the Navy and serviced as a weatherman. 3 men were in the army and 1 was with the tanks that went in at Battle of the Bulge. 1 was airborne. Not sure what Div he was in. He jump in Normady and other places too. he had brought home a thompsons and a german Machine gun. Never said anything about it until now. He's been long dead and gone. The tanker was buck sergeant. He told me that he was given orders to tanke 35 pensioner to the POW camp. Be back in 15 minutes. The POW camp was 45 miles away. He was back in 15 minutes. My dad die at age 60 from lung problem from the shipyards at :Long Beach. He was station there for 18 months. Work for Kaiser welding on ships durntng that time. He would be on board ship for 24hrs, and off for 24hrs. He would weld for about 18 hrs of that time. It killed him in the long run. All of them were good men and work hard after the war. I had a cousins that was in 1 & 2 in the navy. One ship shot out from under him. He had one arm about 2" shorter than the other.
No I don't think they would like what's gong on today.
