Speedy hammers

I gathered data using a magneto speed attached AND using a Labradar, at the same time. I wanted to test them against each other and there was always a consistent 20-22fps difference., lab radar being lower every time. Not saying it isn't possible, but I think the numbers are right on. Also, using hammer provided BC, drops were right on the money out to 450, although i don't consider 450 far or far enough to validate BC/velocity. Everything did line up and everything complimented all previous info gathered.
Lots of pieces in the system including the chronograph.

Validating all of this stuff has always been hard.

Already traded off bullets that didn't stack up to the Hammers I am using. Kept what I liked either for fire forming or as another option not available in Hammer weights. Just my choice based upon my experience. I say shoot what you feel is best for you. Bullets are like politics or religion! Strong feelings either way!😂

Without everybody using the same chronograph, it's hard to compare data. But, when you get 200 FPS above what the book says you should I would question the safety of the recipe and/or the accuracy of the chronograph. I've seen custom barrels and chambers gain as much as 75 FPS in my loads over published velocities, but I'm not completely sure my Chronograph is 100 percent accurate also. It does tell me which powders produce the highest velocities with specific weight bullets for my calibers. I do know that my 284 win loads from a 23" barrel match or exceed 7MM remington mag velocities (24" barrel) (factory loads) for bullets 150 Gr and less because we chrony's them on the same day side by side.

Your a little late to the party Neighbor, these speeds are the "Norm with Hammer Bullets

I wouldn't make a habit of it, not good for barrel longevity.
You might be right, but I don't run it hot. I shoot very few rounds in an outing with it. But I'm not too concerned about barrel life or I would have went with a .308. I want to get as much performance out of this thing as I can, it's my long range thunder cannon. So, bring the heat!!

Hammer Hunters average 200 fps faster than cup&core of similar weight. Absolutes frequently run 300 fps faster. It's all in the bullet design and lower friction.
All I load now in 7 rifles. #8 on the way!

Okay after about a month of reading how everyone loves these hammer's I had to get on the band wagon LoL 🤣. Started loading for my 257 Blackbird last night with some 121's. Here it is next to one of my 7 mag's.

Absolutely! They put up faster velocities before they hit pressure and they DON'T leave copper in a barrel. At least not in mine. Last 3 cleanings with Sweet's and not even a hint of blue. Never seen anything like em. Faster you push em the better they seem to like it.
