Good point, on mine the teeth are tiny compared to the skull, between that and the eyes are probably the two areas lacking. You would be be giving up the score-able skull though if it's a big cat and you care.

You also have a good point if you want to do a European Skull for display by your mount!

Agreed. Getting euros on the cat and bear. I'm a sucker for bleached skulls.

I like them at times with open mouths.
I saw 2 bear's fighting 1 time in Southeast Alaska.
I want to have that mount someday.

Mine was left in the tree. Had a big tom at 15 yards, but the whole trip all I could think about was if I wanted to mount it, how I would mount it, and if I could find someone who could make it look real. In the end, I had my guide take a picture of me with the gun up, like I was ready to shoot the lion in the tree, and that is my memory. Really cool to see the gun pointed at the lion, and know that all that was left was the trigger pull. We had seen some smaller cats, and treed a few females and I kept asking if I was hunting for a trophy or the experience. Was a great experience and since that hunt I have decided to not mount anything again. My bears are just skins or rugs.

I like the casual walking pose of that bear. I've been leaning toward something like that. Thanks for sharing.
