Shipping a stock- UPS/***???

Well, looks like I have to drive my rifle back to the manufacturer in Utah from Florida... This is only the beginning the worst is yet to come.. keep your power dry.
Have an FFL ship it for you? Cheaper than gas money lol, my shop just sent a pistol back to Baer

Been there done that. UPS in my opinion are a bunch of Libtards. I ran a gun/gunsmithing business in Colorado Springs for 37 years and UPS was a problem the complete time. UPS delivered firearms and related parts to me almost daily, but if I tried to ship something it was a no go. Our local UPS terminal was staffed with a number of ladies and all would state do you want to talk with my supervisor. I said yes once and never again went back. Male supervisor` told me that UPS doesn't ship guns, parts or ammo. This was in the 1990's. So at the Shot Show in Las Vegas one year I approached the UPS corporate booth and ask about shipping firearms etc. They told me I could ship any firearm related stuff I wanted as long as I was a licensed dealer and was in compliance with the law. So I told them of my experience in the Colorado Springs office and they had a million excuses, mostly blaming me for doing something wrong! I said lets call that station manager and ask him about it. I handed them his business card with name and phone number a direct line. Then it all came out. I was told that UPS gives wide powers to local stations to set their own business regiment. Happy horse ****! I never went back. I used Fedex and USPS after that. Now that I moved out of Colorado Springs and selling off my collection (I'm getting old) I take firearms I sell on GB and other places to the Pueblo Colorado UPS office and they don't care, they just ship it and thank me for the business. In my opinion give UPS the finger and go other places.
USPS won't touch ammo, or firearms, Fed Ex wouldn't take an air rifle for shipment either, and this was years ago. Other options? I'm all ears

Just yesterday a buddy in Ca. called me and asked if I got a package. I said no. He said it shows delivered. I asked if it was UPS ? Yes. It said its probably sitting on porch at house around the corner. I'm a 1/2 address. Behind the normal number. Even USPS screws it up. I send stuff occasionally at the UPS Store but not lately. Once I was sending a bunch of rifle cases. Told the lady they were rifle cases . She said we can't ship ammo. I said it's not ammo. It's empty rifle cases. Finally a lady employee on the other side of the room yells BRASS!!!
Lol ! Done deal.

When I lived at a different house here and I ordered powder or things that had to be signed for I'd leave a note on door with my number to call me . The local Fed Ex driver would call me and ask if I was at my office. I'd either say yes or I'll meet you there. He'd bring it to me to sign. . Great guy. He's not here anymore and if I get a Fed Ex package I still have to walk around the block to get it. 🙄

My hunting partner shipped a 3000 dollar espresso machine UPS to be serviced and it showed up like it had fallen off the truck on the freeway, he had it insured for the full value and UPS isn't paying up, he's taking them to court but what a hassle.
Sounds like my experiences. One was a rebarreled Model 70. When it arrived from the gunsmith, the rifle was hanging out of the box and the stock and muzzle had been drug across concrete or gravel, or both. Despite the $2K in insurance, and multiple wraps of filament strapping tape used on the box, UPS decided the gunsmith and I were unable to prove it wasn't damaged prior to it being sent it to me.

Insurance is a scam.
