Got the rest of the parts for the build in yesterday, and the reamer is supposed to be here the end of next week. I loaded up some brand new freshly turned Norma brass with some 170 Berger EOL's and a mild charge of RL26. Once the reamer gets here, I will be making a trip to Dillon to get this thing rolling. (GET READY RHIAN)

I'm looking forward to seeing how this 270 SS does
I have a 270 short mag being built right now might have to build a twin to it.

We will have to compare notes. Mine is going to be kind of a sissy rifle with 10 grains less capacity and probably at least 5" less barrel length......Rich

I went with a tikka t3 action , benchmark #4 26", manner EH-TA, it's a manner right now getting inletted, then head back to my the smith to be finished

Did you decide on a barrel length yet? If you go short I'll be interested in how it does compared to my 270 SS. I'm going to take my SS out in a bit and run it over 1000 yards with some 165's.

Thought I'd post a little up date for Rich while he's getting his beauty sleep!

First pick is the Brux #3 dialed in from barrel face to throat .0002 or better and tenon cut and ready for threads.

Threaded and counter bore cut and ready for chambering, never seize on the threads makes them look bad but this boy is not galling a Ti action!!

A shot of the as cut crown. I love using Cermet inserts, gotta use them right or you'll drop $15 down the toilet but surface finish is like a mirror.

Almost finished rifle, I got the pic before I crowned it. Once crowned at 21 and tightened up on a Lone Peak Razor Ti action in a Manners stock, Talley rings, ADL trigger guard, Timney Calvin elite, mag box and a Swaro optic it weighted in at 7 lbs on the button!!

Next a little barrel brake in action then I'll pull the barrel and send it in for Nitriding, really want to keep this one bad
