Our meat poles are over 15' in the air, we had at least 5 different grizzlies coming in to the meat poles. The meat hanging on the poles in that pic is 4 moose quarters.

We also got video of a wolverine that year.

Gus, now I can make it out, the end of the pole seems more clear. That's moose up there right ok. So, they won't climb up there? I kinda thought with a bears climbing ability they might try?
 
Yes grizzlies do climb trees, they're a little harder to see than the daylight pics but you can definitely see the 2 cubs in this pic. One is up the tree and the other is at the base of the tree to the left. The ropes were strong enough to support the weight of the meat and the bear so we didn't lose a quarter. The poles are many years old and I don't trust the meat farther out to the center where they would be a little safer from the bears so we are going to replace them.
