Scope that won't break on 300 win mag

I have a Savage in 300 win mag that absolutely eats scopes. I've blew up 4 scopes . 2 Bushnell and 2 Vortex . They have all be warranted . I usually miss something before I know the scope is junk. I have a DNZ Game Reaper mount . I'm not looking to break the bank here . $500 -$600 is my budget . Any ideas ??? Thanks.
I had a Nikon fx1000 on a braked 6.5lb 300 win mag. I put it on a 7mm stw. It's held up but who knows how long. I just purchased a riton mod 7 4-20x50. Its a tank. About 32 ounces. Tracked like a blood hound. You could give it a try.

I've never heard of or seen a rifle that has broken 4 scopes. I imagine it's possible if it's the poorest or lowest model they each make. I would be checking your mount for trueness and make sure you are using a quality torque driver with blue locktite when mounting the next one you choose. I think it's ridiculous for some to say you can't buy a quality scope for $500 that will work and last on a 300 Win. There are numerous options to be found with a little research. Here's one-

Are you using a lead sled to shoot off of? If so. that is a real issue with high recoiling rifles and scope destruction.

I have a Meopta Optika6 3-18x50 on my .300 Win for 7 months now and I have had zero issues. It is right in your price range too. I like the 3-18 so much I put 2 more on other rifles including this pig gun which did it's job this past weekend on 10-pound porkers at 290 yards. A well built European scope with great features and a great price.

I would bet it is 1 of 2 things...first of all, 300 WM is not breaking most scopes, even under $500.

First, is the bell hitting the barrel? You need 0.1" clearance min. Yes, look for marks on the barrel from bell slapping!

Second, is the scope fitting perfectly in the mount? Do you have ring marks?

Leupold. When I was a deputy I kept a precision rifle in the back of the patrol SUV. The washboard dirt roads, car chases, potholes and 4 wheeling literally ate scopes without a shot fired. Leupold never failed. My fellow patrolman and shooting partner had an SWFA and it was also super durable.

You get what you pay for. Usually if you put a $100 scope on a $1000 rifle, then you have a $100 shooting system. Spend at least as much on your scope as you spend on the rifle if you are buying a mass produced factory rifle.
I would change the rings and bases just for good measure. I would also make sure to use factory recommended torque specs on all parts of your rings and bases.

Best of luck with your decision.

I run used Kahles on my big rifles. As for cheap TOUGH scopes... Try the KonusPro. We have been unsuccessfully trying to break one on a 458 Lott for about a year now.

Doug at CamerlandNY stands behind his stuff.
