Scope recomendation

If your going to be hauling it up and down mountains, weight will be #1, mag in the 14-20 range will do what you need. If you're punching paper, or steel mostly, or varmints go higher power. On my long rang rifles I have both Sightron SIII10-50, 8-32....I also like the Tract Toric models...just got my new 4.5-30 moa model....with a Military discount or LE discount , it's at or under your limit....if you're going to be dialing a good amount, get a scope that has either both locking turrets and zero stop, or at the least zero stop...but you have an awesome array of scopes to pick from either way...rsbhunter

I would suggest that you take a serious look at a couple new scores on the market. The Arken Sh4 and the EP4. They have lots of features and will save you more than half of your cash. The glass is very good. Tactile knobs, zero stop,etc... Worth taking a look at before the prices go up. Just my $.02.
An Arken scope is money well spent.
I love mine. Amazing repeatability & tracing.

If you shoot or hunt in the rain, it wouldn't hurt to look for rain shedding optics. After using a lot of Leupold, Nightforce, even a US Optics, I'm liking the Bushnell Elite line.

@Leave me alone, sorry I did not follow per your username. 😇

Just and FYSA, in case it is a factor in the consideration ...

Went to the Arken website and looked over their offerings. I am impressed. 8 to 12-week wait, but I think I am going to order one for my new Weatherby 340. Thanks for the information.

You could pick up a used nightforce 2.5-10x42 for around 1300, they are built like a tank. If you're looking for great glass zeiss conquest dl, they are made in Germany glass is really good for the 600-800 range.
Personally not really impressed with vortex glass, but that's my honest opinion. Leica has really good lass too.

You have never said what range you want to shoot at. That is most important at least it is to me before I pick a scope. @.5 to 10x is great for 100 to 500 meters. If you want to go beyond that then need to power up, My 338 Lapua I have a 15 to 50x and I reach out and touch an 18" plate at 1750 meters. my AR10 has a 6x to 20x and reaches out to about 800 meters with no problem so how far do you want to reach out too.
