SARAH PALIN - My kind of gal!

Some one help me out Bill Lear of PBS wrote a report about BO is the wrong guy. He did a 1st class job. Its in my e-mail but I don't know how to transfer it to our thread here through out .

You think guns are toys? Just what exactly do you know?

Guns are toys to the average citizen most of the time. Self-defensive weapons and deterents some of the time. Tools for law enforcement. Peace of mind. The ultimate equalizer.

I know Bush is by far and away the worst President I've experienced in my 53 years. I know that no matter how hard you try to twist the Iraqi war into a potentially good thing, that the Bush administration was dead wrong to have mislead the legislature, the american public, and the world, that we had to attack Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction, that Iraq was complicite in the World Trade Center attacks, or in a partnership with Al Queda. The administration made it clear to all underlings what their goal was, and those underlings ultimately provided the ammunition Bush needed to mislead us into a war that's ended up costing us close to one trillion dollars, and more than 4000 American soldiers lives. We're spent both financially and militarily for no good reason and with no certain benefit. I know that Bush's execution of the war was a complete Cluster-__ck. I know that he should have released Don Rumsfeld rather than Colin Powell. I know that Saddam was absolutely no threat to the American homeland, or any other country in the Persian Gulf area. I know that there were no links between Saddam and Al Queda. I know that Saddam had nothing to do with the collapse of the World Trade Centers. I know that the Bin Laden and his Al Queda organizatin was soley responsible for the attack on the World Trade Centers and he's still alive and now the Taliban and Bin Laden are again regrouping and are stronger than they have ever been since the Taliban were taken out in the beginning of the Afgan war. Same types of things you could know if you'd open your mind to the obvious.

Say the Iraqi war was the greatest thing since sliced bread if that's what you believe. I've read other's posts where they've expressed suspicions that the Iraq war was really for our best interest and that Bush secretly knows best and was surely out for our best interests. They skip right over the fact that Bush mislead us to get us into the war in the first place. How naive! I can't respect any President or his cause's if he has to lie to us and the world in order to launch a war, or to achieve his war-mongoring objectives.

What else do you want to know while I've giving lessons? Oh yeah, don't forget... Bush is the biggest loser EVER. Other than that he's an OK guy.

Seems everyone is looking at the glass as half empty.
I'm proud to be an American and I say, despite economic glitches or any other current challenges, that the glass for us is much more than half full.

You're not going to adopt "the economy is basically sound" approach like McCain did are you? And then two days later admit we're in a crisis that Warren Buffet compared to Pearl Harbor on the country's economy and financial system. And then have us listen to Paulson and Bernanke testify in front of Congress and emphasize the magnitude of the financial crisis and the desperate bank nationalization program required to keep the banks and our country from going down the toilet?

What if the $800,000,000,000 we've wasted in Iraq would have been available to support the economic crisis in this country, rather than supporting the economic crisis we created in Iraq? How about if we'd used some of that money to deal with the spiraling out of control health care costs?

The only reason the glass could appear half full is that the Bush Administration is on the way out, with the worst reputation and legacy of any Administration in more than 50 years. Bush makes Jimmy Carter look good. Makes Richard Nixon look good. Literally, Bush was so bad that poor John McCain doesn't stand a chance. Like I've said before, if Ronald Reagan were the Republican nominee, he'd be destined to lose also.

I'm not one bit happy that the Republicans, both the Administration that's supposed to lead the country and provide direction for the legislature, and the Republican Senate and Congress that enabled Bush for the past eight years. They blew it big time, and now it's time to pay the Piper. There will be a number of Republican incumbents going home in both the House and Senate. In addition, enter Barack Obama. That's what happens after eight years of arrogance, combativeness, recklessness, and overspending.

To my knowledge, the intelligence we used matched the the intelligence of all the western nations. So, who lied?

Tell me more about the strength of Al Qaeda. When was the last attack carried out by them? Didn't we just take out one of their leaders last week?

I remember the Brady Law sunsetting under the Bush Administration. Rights lost that were restored, a novel concept. Is your thinking clouded also in regards to something so fundamental as the Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment? Your messiah obama will undo all the Bush stuff that you so dislike and bring about fundamental change for America.

Like I've said before, phorwath, keep swinging your hammer and sickle.

I know Bush( How do you know Bush) is by far and away the wors( Nixon, Johnson,Vietnam) President I've experienced in my 53 years. **** man, I want your sources of intelligence) ( The best inteligence agency I have ever know were the Isralies) ( Actually that is a comflict of ideas so its an ox-moron)The administration made it clear to all underlings what their goal was, and those underlings ultimately provided the ammunition Bush needed to mislead us into a war that's ended up costing us close to one trillion dollars, and more than 4000 American soldiers lives. We're spent both financially and militarily for no good reason and with no certain benefit. I know that Bush's execution of the war was a complete Cluster-__ck. I know( You don't know so quit saying you know) The only thing you may think you know is what the slanted media tells you) that he should have released Don Rumsfeld rather than Colin Powell. And here we have more mis-information. The Clinton administration was offered Bin Laden head three times and he tuirned it Down)Same types of things you could know if you'd open your mind to the obvious.

I can't respect any President or his cause's if he has to lie( Then you apprently hate Clinton guts for lieing on national television as he is one of the worst national security liars I can think of since Nixon) No they did not impeach him in office, but they sure stripped him of his ability to practice law after he left office and fines him for that dishonesty.) Then on national T.V. when asked why he did it and he replied," because I could". to us and the world in order to launch a war, or to achieve his war-mongoring objectives.

What else do you want to know while I've giving lessons? Oh yeah, don't forget... Bush is the biggest loser EVER. Other than that he's an OK guy.

So while you are giving lessons be advised that I quit your school of thought 30 years ago. I remember GI Jane, Watergate, Clinton running north to Canada. I know these as facts from documented recordings and personally having been there experience. Just because some idiot president decides to pardon people for crimnal law violations does not mean they are not quilty! Because I cheat and win a competitive game, does that mean I actually won? Because there are more registered voters than qualified voters in a city, county or state does that mean someone is cheating? Because I have been promoted and financially supported by the richest 5% of the population of this nation, have I won the competition or was it purchased for me? If I use drugs, hang out with criminals and know that my pastor is a U.S.A hater and a extremely radical racist, should you believe what I say or what I have done?

As a child I was taught to watch the walk and not listen to the talk. Later as a Christian man I learned that what I was taught by Democratic non-christian parents was actually a bible principle!

I vote for truth, justice and the American way!

hammertyme;234997I vote for truth said:
Neal, I read the first couple sentences of your post and skipped the rest as nonsense. Vote as you choose for your version of truth, justice and the American way. It's your right to preach about it as you see fit, and to vote as you see fit. Which is why McCain/Palin are going down. Everyone else has those same rights also, and the majority disagree with you this time around. Bush the loser = Obama the winner. No fuzzy math there.

You guys are trying hard but you're not getting anywhere. Obama's lead just keeps increasing each day McCain gets madder and Palin spreads more lies about Obama. Negative campaigning isn't even going to work this time around. If that's the best they can pull out of their hats/heads, they deserve the loss they're going to get.

The nonsense about every other country's intelligence was based on our Administration's shared intelligence which was twisted and contorted to support a war. It served as an excuse until the truth really came out months later. If you can remember, America used to be the leader of the free world. Maybe we will be once again after the tar and feathers settle on the Bush Administration.

Read it and weep. Obama's gonna walk away with this like a walk through the Park. Bury you're guns or whatever else you feel necessary based on your gloom & doom. But don't threaten me with the loss of my firearms if Obama should win in the effort to scare me or others on this gun-loving forum into voting for more of the same. It's not that simple unless you're suicidal.

And don't waste your time trying to convince me that a Dodo bird dressed in Peacock plumage has any business leading this the country away from the arrogance and mis-steps of the Bush Adminstration. Sarah's got style and no substance. She's still wearing Political Diapers. If you love Sarah, move to Alaska and she'll be your Governor after the November election. If you love McCain, move to Arizona and he'll be your Senator. Because neither one will be in the White House next year unless they're invited by Barack Obama. :D Did I say.... :D :D

There. That should calm your nerves and make you feel much better eh?

I'm gonna guess that your favorite football team is who ever has the best record that year.

I think we could all handle your opinion if it were not so condescending and sneering, or if it had any long held personal conviction. The fact is, that your argument, however well worded, is so sophomoric that it is hard not to get upset w/. You have no forward thinking positions. Your opinion is based on the fact that you want something different than Bush. I think we are all ready for something different. The good news is that he is not running again. To say that you, and all the other smart people in the Country, want change because of Bush, and that change will be a fundamental change in the foundation of the greatest nation to ever exist. Is pure stupidity of the highest level.

Now if you, or any one else, is going to financially benefit from the fundamental change, and that is your reason for voting for Obamma, I can respect that. I will disagree with it though. After all the vast majority of people, who are underachievers, will get a temporary lift in socio economic status, as the wealthy are stripped of there belongings, and redistribution begins. After all it's time for them to join the team, do what is right, and patriotic, give up what is theirs to help those of us who have not earned it.

I think that moving to full communist/ socialism in the guys of how well it has and currently is working in the world is a great move. It seems to work well for the ruling party every where it is tried.

Thanks for another point of view. Well put! Ever notice when speaking with certain people, their self importance and their cause overshadows reason. Kind of like the arrogant little *** that would not leave I and my wife alone recently. Stalking, assaultive behavior. He was so important in his own mind that he forgot one thing. His rights stopped when I arrested his ***. Then he lied to the judge and got nailed for perjury. Then he was arrested twice for violating court orders. AFter a few weeks now in the Alaska correctional facility he seems to have come to an understanding that maybe, just maybe, friends, family, witnesses and judges oh and time behind bars he just might have been wrong! AFter being in Law Enforcement for a couple of decades and having to make decisions in moments that attorneys spent months and years trying to find fault with, I was very good at never having to go to court because the job was done correctly. Yes I live on Kodiak Island and for the most part the entire population with the exception of a few are down home redneck Americans who belief just as I do. If I did not care about my country and the vast majority of the people in it I could care less and would not have anything to say about these issues. We are protected on our island paradise and can live off the land forever. In my line of work I could be in any given community and for the most part have been in every community in Alaska. I am in the phone book so give me a call or stop by. I prefer good ole boys with sound judgement, but hey we do get some lefties down here once in a while, standing in front of safeway trying to get petitions signed. I haven't seen any from Anchorage down here for a while. Must have found the choice of a one way boat ride or a ride back to the airport as choices not to their liking. The gangs tried to take hold here and lost as well. We are a very quiet peaceful community with a very good school system and for the most part, a very solid honorable family values nucleus.

Hey this reminds me of the College student a democrate and her republican father at odds one day. Daughter is telling dad about how hard she works to get straight A's in college and she is on every social activities calender at school. Then she asked her dad why he felt so strongly about his beliefs. Totally disregarding that her convictions were just as strong. That she had no social life and very few friends because she was working to hard for the grades. SHe could not understand why dad was against helping the poor and higher taxes so others could have better lives.

Well dad asked her how her best friend was doing at the same college. Oh she is barely making it, parties all the time. She is in college for the party's and social life and really doesn't care about anything. Comes to classes late when she isn't hung over. She has really changed.

Dad says, honey since you are getting good grades, why not go to the dean and ask him to give one grade point from each of your classes to your friend and help her out? Hell no dad, I work hard for those grades and I am not going to give nothing to no one that hasn't earned it.

Dad says,"welcome to the republican party".

History always repeats itself and the light will come on one day for everyone. Many will find out like those in the movie "Left Behind" after its too late.

What the heck phorwath, no sharp tongued, sneering comment about how stupid I am because Obamma is going to win by a landslide? And if I weren't so stupid I would not be punished with the impending Obamma Presidency? That I need to get used to the socialism that is going to come with it because it will be so much better than having Palin as vice President? That accepting defeat around the world when Obamma comes to fix the the problems, that Bush caused because he is so stupid, and nothing but a lying oil man? Nothing about how the rest of the world will now respect us after we are defeated when Obamma pulls out of the messes, that the lying Bush started, and begins dismantling the military?

C'mon porwath, I miss your superior wit and wisdom.

Hey Steve,

I've said about all I'm interested in saying and honestly never read your reply in full. Not out of disrespect. Just that we'll never agree.

Talk to me after the elections. Keep your tissues nearby.

Have your heard that Sarah, the plain-Jane day-in day-out All-American hockey mom recently purchased $170,000 worth of decor (what I call peacock plumage). Like I said. A Dodo bird in Peacock plumage. I bet all the other normal Hockey moms in the country can really associate with her now. Campaigns on open, transparent government in Alaska, and then lawyers up in a coverup effort over Troopergate. Campaigns on a plain-Jane, one-of-us, hockey moms from small town Wasilla, AK, and then spends more on plumage in 1 week than most of us earn in three years. No problem with that though, right? Ignore anything, do anything, say anything, believe anything to get your woman in the White House? Good luck to ya, but I expect we'll watch her and McCain go down in flames. Did I say keep your tissues nearby on election night? I really don't expect it to even be close. At least Sarah will get some new plumage out of it.

Re: SARAH PALIN - Just like one of us - NOT

"An acclaimed celebrity makeup artist for Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin collected more money from John McCain's campaign than his foreign policy adviser.

Amy Strozzi, who works on the reality show "So You Think You Can Dance" and has been Palin's traveling stylist, was paid $22,800, according to campaign finance reports for the first two weeks in October. In contrast, McCain's foreign policy adviser, Randy Scheunemann, was paid $12,500, the report showed

And here I was led to believe Sarah was a down-homesy hockey mom kind of a gal... Wrong, wrong, wrong...

phorwath, your absorbed focus on the petty controversies that the political opponents of Sarah Palin dredge up against her, while totally remaining silent on the controversies surrounding obama and company, which are several order of magnitudes greater, are obvious. You're the one focusing on style and not substance. If troopergate and a hair stylist are your biggest arrows, be sure to lick the little rubber suction cups before you shoot them. Which I give you credit, it must be tough while continually swinging that hammer and sickle of yours.

What I fail to understand, is how a man, fellow Alaskan no less, of your stated 53 years of age, with the eloquence and obvious intelligence that you possess be so comfortable using your abilities to undermine Americanism and promote Marxism so passionately. Sure, some things I'll never understand, that's a given. But what we have, and have had, in our beloved America is so special that if it is lost for all posterity it would be most lamentable. So, yes, if you're correct in your prediction of the election outcome, Teddy Roosevelt himself should have a box of tissues handy.

It's still not over, I'll continue to have faith in my fellow Alaskans and Americans.
