RIFLE SEASON BULLS..PA

I shot a problem bear on the Valle Vidal in NM one spring. She had broken into the Taos ski valley, and should have been put down. She had taveled about 200 miles since her release, and I don't believe she hibernated. She had 4" of fat on her back. I assume that is unusual for a spring bear. Best meat ever. And yes, I rendered the fat.

I've had oryx, elk, aoudad, and javelina hang around after a kill. If the animal drops and dies right away, they sometimes think it just laid down.
