in the absence of a tag, they do shed antlers once a year. If those monsters were in my area, I would be serious about some spring shed hunting!

Every year in March...your only problem will be finding a parking spot !!!! You' d be better off bringing a moble food truck and selling something ...I've seen trucks from just about every state parked everywhere during shed season..some shed loonies have guys working together and following some of the 400++ giants 24 hours a day until they drop.....

What I call 2 Mile Field.
2 mile hike each way from the truck.
About 30 yards in front of the deer is where the bull is standing.

As myself and @Frank in the Laurels has said, drawing a tag is done on a lottery system.
I've been trying for 13-14 years. Others, longer.

However, out of state have equal chance of being drawn as a PA resident.

Last I saw was 15,000 trying to get drawn for 144 tags.

I have a much better chance to draw a Montana tag.

I believe that numbers is more like 59'000....lol....and honestly I think it's way way way higher.. I'll check but it gets depressing...lol

A few years ago, during rifle deer season, I ran into the blaze orange Keebler elf.

Blaze orange cloth covers of his boots, blaze orange and white checkered pants, white button up shirt, blase orange dress up type vest, blaze orange fedora.

I have better odds of hitting a 6" steel target with one round at 1 mile.

Probably more like a 1inch target, but maybe you are a really good shot?
