Yes…..I’m a Hypocrite 😁

Why all the hate can't we all just get along hahaha EVERYONE has rifles they think are less capable and don't use them. Just take a deep breath and relax no one is forcing you to get a CM. However some like and appreciate them.

I am happy being stuck in the 20th century. Only have one cartridge developed in the 21st, the 300AAC I bought so my kids would have fun.
There are three cartridges/rifles I am interested in adding. 25.06, .264 and .280. They have to be in Win M70 classic Stainless Boss. I know, not for everyone. But it's what I like.
If you gave me a CM, PRC or RPM I would sure keep it, just not spending money to buy one

I got archery hunters too. They go out and shoot and if they are proficient at 50 yards, they can shoot at 50 yards at an elk they pay for the hunt if they can't kill them and draw blood they hunts over it's their prerogative.
So archery hunts have to test their abilities in your camp but not rifle hunters? And if a rifle hunter draws blood is their hunt over?

As most are aware …. I enjoy tormenting anything and anyone pertaining to the 6.5 CM.

But, it's time for "True Confessions", I own a 6.5 though "not"a CM.

About 15 years ago we bought a "salvage" 🤣 (Savage) in 6.5-284 Norma in SS with "fluted" barrel. Great shooting little rifle ……but, far too heavy to hunt with! So, we've only shot it using 139 Scenars.

Question: Has anyone used 139 Scenars on game…..especially on hogs!

If so your opinions……positive or negative……I want to hear them all!

Thanks in advance, memtb
I honestly don't know how to process this level of deceit, all these years we've given each other crap and you pull this!! Haha

I will send you a box of Berger 140s, you might as well just do this treachery right!!

Memtb,

Since your AO is a bit short on hogs, have you tried them on sloths?

I'm helping.

These creedmoor discussions just crack me up! I've killed big bodied Roosevelt bull and cow elk with both of my (Bleedmoors). Shot placement, knowing your limits and proper bullet selection for the game you're after is what's important. I'd shoot elk for the rest of my life to 500 yards with the creed if that's all I had. It's not the cartridges fault people make bad shots due to lack of skill or understanding multiple variables.

We recently started shooting the 139 Lapua scenars in my son's 6.5 saum. So far only 3 kills with 3 shots. Don't expect them to always to look like the "perfect bullet" (whatever thats supposed to be) when you find them as you're taking the hide off but they have worked great so far. None of these were over 100 yds. Buck in the snow was broadside behind the shoulder at around 60 yds. About an 1.5" exit no bullet recovery. Buck in the dirt, slight angled frontal chest shot. No exit. 2 pieces of bullet found. Tip sheared off without opening. No idea how it went from there. Whether it tumbled or something else. Never found the core but didn't sort through the mess it made. Both died within 20 yds. Internal damage was significant. Called in coyote he shot as it was loping straight in. Bullet pieces recovered. That was the second bullet on the paper towel. Again no core found nor did I try to find it. So far no complaints. And they accurate. No hogs in our area.

Thanks for the write-up and the photos!

Your photos show what I feared….that perhaps on a larger hog and a less than perfect shot, they may not give adequate penetration, due to their potentially coming apart!

I was thinking that after owning this rifle for 10+ years…..that we might actually take it out of the house and try to justify owning it!

Though, it was pretty accurate and fun to punch paper in the backyard! memtb
