5R Rifling -Yes or No?

Well that cuts it for me, when my Kreiger 6.5x284 is worn out, I'll be heading up to Border for a 5R. Which may be sooner than I can afford!

Hey Derek,

It's ****in down like cats right now, I better sleep with me wellies on..

You will NEVER see an Archer '5r', mate...We might try some other forms in the future on the button side, but never the 5r. That would be blasphemy..

I know this thread is quite old but has there been any change in the opinions of the 5R debate? I see Thompson/Center offers an Icon with 5R rifling, any input on these rifles?

Thanks

I see on the Krieger site they now offer it too.

I just got off the phone with Tim at Broughton Barrels. I have a new 5C on order and I cant wait. The ones I own and others I have been around shoot extremly well.

I should have my 300 Sherman together in a couple of weeks. It has a 28" 5r from Bartlein. I'll let everyone know what it does. I'm expecting 3100+ with my 190's. We'll see:D......Rich
