I've bought 4 Remington rifles since 2010, all good shooters with no issues. 1 Varmint, 2 SPS' and an ADL. I did replace all the triggers.
I've been lucky I guess.

I have had my share of Remington 700's over the years, from .223 to 30-06. They were all shooters and all shot under 1 MOA. The only thing that I didn't like was the safety. Liked the Winchester Model 70, 3 position safety that allowed one to open the action with the safety on, and having the safety blocking the firing pin instead of the trigger.I am looking at a 2017 Remington 700. They went bankrupt in 2020. Has quality ever sagged on the Model 700? Any years to avoid?
As in smooth bore?Missing rifling in my rem 700, I wouldn't shoot one if it was given to me.
