Browning A-Bolt issues

It was the original A-Bolt and I ended up purchasing a new bolt sleeve to resolve the problem.

Also, when pushing the loaded round into the chamber, there were no issues. Only on extraction.

I have the same issue with a 7mm

Was it hard to change the bolt sleave is it on or part of the bolt or the chamber

No, there is a good youtube video on how to do it. Just have to be careful because there is a spring inside that will shoot out if you are not paying attention and then you get to look for the spring.

I got to wonder if these rifles are manufactured to close enough tolerances that bolts can be swapped back and forth between guns????

I would venture a guess that headspace needs checking w new bolt sleeve and/or bolt face

If the bolt closes all the way there shouldn't be a headspace problem, but if you are worried about it just use a previously fired case and see if chambers with and without a couple layers of masking tape on the back of the case.
