Tankers rifle
The text that was with it stated that it was a WW2 German invention for shooting from trenches, foxholes, and around building corners.
That too but it was originally made for a tanker to stick the barrel out of the small ports of the tank and shoot people off of it

That's the krummlauf for the strumgewehr 44-- the 90 degree version had a barrel life of 160 rounds before it was shot out--- there was also a 30 degree version
