That would have worked back when I had the B&C, but I sold it and bought a 5r takeoff so I'm good now. I actually have 4 of those HS takeoff stocks now.Mud and Frog ought to trade the stocks they don't like.

View attachment 100250 This was a 5R.
Mcmillan HTG
Badger BDL bottommetal from stockys
Old school Rem trigger
Vias brake
Shot the 215s very well and easiest load development I have had to do.
Was a little heavier than I wanted toting through the woods where I live so off it went.
So I just bought a Remington 700 5R gen 1 in .300WM. 26" non threaded barrel. I also ordered a timney trigger for it since I now I won't be satisfied with the factory trigger.
You will love the timney trigger
Thread it and put on a T-3 Terminator muzzle brake.
It will recoil less than a 308 and will allow you to see bullet impact through your scope
So the question is, does anyone have one of these and if so are there any other changes to the rifle I should think of immediately?
Why would you not be satisfied with Remington trigger ?So I just bought a Remington 700 5R gen 1 in .300WM. 26" non threaded barrel. I also ordered a timney trigger for it since I now I won't be satisfied with the factory trigger.

Because the X-Mark Pro lawyer-proof triggers suck. Why would you not be satisfied with Remington trigger ?
This is my Gen1--Wish I would've sprung for a Gen2 like WildRose said previously. It's a great gun that's fun to shoot with a brake/suppressor. Just not fun to carry.
Yep, I love the lines of them. I've got a Grayboe Terrain that I might throw on there, as well, just for grins. Same profile.I see you opted for the old M40 look also.
