Rem 700 still no go?

I also purchased the ADL 700 that Rural King ran on special….same disappointment I had when I opened the box . Jeweled bolt is terrible. I think your looks better than mine maybe 😂

Total including shipping and tax I was still under $400. Maybe that was a sign? Either way, have a barreled action to see how it shoots like mentioned above.
My guess is the ADL's that were sold for under $400 were the last of the pre bankruptcy Remington's. How does it shoot?

I was wondering the same. Either way I am satisfied with what it is. No complaints really as long as it functions for the price.

Have not shot it. No plans to do anything with it anytime soon. maybe it was a late night impulse !

Only disappointment for me in that deal was the local gs went up on the transfer fee to $52. I liked the $25 days better. Guess it's paperwork inflation ?

Wow I guess so. Might be absorbing the increase in pay for the work force.

What email did you send to?
So I just looked at my emails and honestly got confused as to how I got the process started. It's been a bit, you need to go to Remington Arms and on their main web page go to Support, then hit the Reach Us option. It asks for your name and info then you hit submit and that's when I got the email. From there it is exactly what I mentioned before, a generic email and then others.

Update: Rem Arms contacted me back asking for photos. I'll keep everyone posted and yes, bargain buy, so you get what you invest, but maybe they will have some answers. I'll even take, sorry that was old stock we had to liquidate or maybe I get an invite to test drive an alpha! Either way, thanks for tips, sometimes another email or phone call is just the ticket.

Update: they paid for a shipping label and are taking the gun back for inspection. 4-6week turn time quoted. So far once we got in touch they have been very responsive. Nothing like the days of the trigger recall.
Update: Rifle would have been delivered by UPS today, but I was working. Should have it in hand tomorrow. Very fast turn around in my opinion.

I'm hopeful for sure. They never communicated with me after sending the UPS label. I know it said they could call to explain the necessary repairs and cost, etc. but so far all I got was the UPS notification that something was out for delivery. I presume they fixed what I complained about but we will see.

Update: got the rifle back and I'm satisfied. They smoothed out and refinished the problem area on the receiver and smoothed the raceways. They did state the "jeweling is correct for this model" so there are just some matte bolts that were kinda jeweled on the market… but as stated for sub $500 rifle, it'll do. Now to mount an optic and test fire!

I will deal with confidence in the new RemArms. Better start saving for an alpha… course I could tell my wife I need a 7PRC cause the 300WM is just old hat now.
