Reloder 26

I'm using it in my Savage 112BVSS, .300WinMag with 208gn ELD-M's, Hornady brass and CCI BR2's. Getting .5 MOA out to 1K, muzzle velocity averages 3092fps w/77.0gn's, ES: 13 and SD: 7.23.

Definately looking to change brass though. At this level of performance the Hornady stuff doesn't hold up. Wishing Lapua made some! JohnnyK.

I would give Norma a try. Although I have 8 firings on Winchester with warm loads.

Impressive speed

I have 3419 fps with 130's in my 6.5 WSM. N570 is a little better with the 143's, though.

I tried R26 in my 22 Creedmoor. It was accurate but not as fast as I'd like. I'm going to try it again.

In a 6.5x284 Lapua brass Fed 210M I ran 59.3 grains with a Cutting Edge 130 grain MTH(copper bullet) getting a 4 shot average of 3204 ES of 5 with a 20" barrel. I hit pressure(slight ejector mark) at 60.0 grain on the ladder from 52.5(2787fps) to 60.0(3252fps). It is a 6.5 pound gun and even with a brake it is hard to shoot, it flies off the rest and isn't fun. There is another node at 56.0 3013fps and 56.5 3019fps I will try but I'm sure I can get that with H1000 which is extremely stable. I will however try Reloder 26 with this combination in some of my heavier 6.5x284's.

In the .243 Win Federal brass Fed 210M I ran up to 48.0 grains of RL26 at 3420fps with the Berger 105's.
I switched over to the Cutting Edge 100 grain MTH(requires a 7 twist barrel, I hunt in a non lead state) and ran a ladder from 46.5 3241fps up to 49.5 3467fps(federal brass) settling on 47.0 at 3150fps. Winchester brass gave much lower velocity than the Federal, all other things equal. I was thinking of doing a .243 AI but with these speeds that is on hold.

These are hunting loads so I'm not overly concerned about barrel and brass life(especially the WW & Federal) but pockets are ok after 2-3 firings.

We are having a heat wave of 114F today and over 100 for the next few days so testing is off for a while

Been working quite well for me in the 22 Creedmoor. 80gr Amax 3540fps from 24 inch barrel.

I observed over 3030 fps in my 340 Weatherby with a 28" tube using a 250 NAB. Did not observe pressure signs. This was a ladder test, I'll have to check accuracy vs. seating depth next. WOW! I like it

I've used it in a 243AI with great results. 105 Hornady Match is getting 3380 fps with excellent accuracy out to 1000yds(if I do my part).
My problem is "I can't find it anywhere".
GOOD LUCK and GOOD SHOOTING!!!
:) I just checked on line. Graf& son showed it in stock. Give them a try. Good luck and Good shooting

Thanks, walter. I found them earlier and five pounds will be delivered here tomorrow.
GOOD LUCK and GOOD SHOOTING!!!

Any one trying this powder in the 300 Win Mag?
I'm working with RL26 in a factory Rem 721 300Win with a 26" barrel. Using Remington brass, CCI250's and 215 Bergers. At 76.5 grains I get 3000fps without excessive pressure. However, I haven't got it to group yet. Even with backing the load down incrementally. I believe I have an equipment problem and am troubleshooting that right now. I sure hope it works out, this is impressive in the speed department.

I'd give RWS brass a try it's even tougher than Norma.
