Reloder 26 has been out a while now and I hve been shooting it in a 300 win mag with good results. Has anyone else tried it out?

Shoot straight my friends gun)

Don

I am currently using it in a 243AI and am having outstanding results. I have just begun with a pair of 25/06's. I hope the results are as good.
GOOD LUCK and GOOD SHOOTING!!!

I've got a bunch on back order with my local shop. if it gets here before coyote season I'll be happy. I've got excellent accuracy and velocity with RL33 right now, but it never hurts to try something else

reloader 26 is doing real good for me in the 300 rum with 180 class bullets , good vel, accuracy ,es, my load seems to be easy on brass I found my accuracy about 2.5 gr below where I started getting signs of pressure, I haven't had a chance to test it in the 80 -90+ degree heat yet hopefully I will get to soon

Here's some info on Rl26 in a 6AI with 105 VLDs.
Around .5 moa and 3400 fps ain't bad. Might get better by tuning seating depth or mag primers.
Just hope that if I need to take a shot under 350 yards the thin jacket VLD doesn't detonate on the hide!

I shoot it in my 375 RUM with the 350 SMK, 2650 fps. I have found that 26 is a very stable, very consistent powder. Seems to be a perfect match for the 375. I'm very pleased.

I've played with it a little...

.243 AI
worked up to 3315 fps with a 105 hybrid w/ out seeing pressure in a 24" barrel. However, I couldn't find accuracy at this speed. I didn't spend a lot of time working with it though.

.280 AI
I found pressure at over 3100 FPS with a 168 H-VLD in a 25" barrel. I couldn't believe it, so had to shoot it twice. I haven't spent any more time with it since I had a good load for hunting season w/ Retumbo, but plan on working with it more.

Velocity verified with a Magnetospeed.

From my own little testing and what I've read elsewhere, it's a little more difficult to tune. I've read reports of long barreled .243 WIN's getting north of 3400 fps.

Seems to share the same magic (large area pressure curve) as RE-17, but is slower burning. I'm very interested in the real world temp stability of this powder.

Update, backed down .2gr and played with seating depth.
We might have a winner at .052" jump and 53.2 gr.
These are 6 shot groups at 200 yards.

Had rl26 up to 53.8 gr with NO pressure signs at 3436 fps but groups went to 1 moa.
I'll settle with 3387 fps.
