Has anyone tried Reloder 26 or Reloder 23, in a 340 Weatherby, with 180 to 225 grain bullets ?
Thanks for info,

You haven't got many responses. I did try R22, and got vertical groups with the 210 & 250 Nosler Partition, the 225 Barnes TTSX, and the 225 Swift A-Frame. The groups would average 2 to 3 inches. I thought it might have been my rifle, but I tried R19, and got good cluster groups (I guess that's the term). Average about 3/4 inch with the A-Frame, and the Barnes TTSX gave me 1/2 inch groups. 210 and 250 Nosler Partitions averaged about 1 inch groups.
I will follow this thread to see if anyone did have success with R26.

If you are interested in some Partitions (210 & 250), or some 225 Swift A-Frames, let me know.

bb, haven't ever used RL26, but loaded 225gr Partitions and H1000 for a friend's 340 Wby. It shot around 1/2 MOA if I recall. He and his friends hunt elk in a unit with thick junipers with average shots of <100 yds. He never shoots over 200 with this load, so he wanted the Partitions. I've used essentially the same load for a couple .338 WM with good accuracy. Good luck

I'm helping 2 friends of mine with 340 Weatherbys reload for this falls elk hunt. They are going to be using the 210 TTSX. I just set up a bullet seating depth test using IMR 7828 ssc. Will report back on the results and load work up. Would love to use RL 26 since I have a ton of it

In both my 338WM & 340 Bee the best powder for velocity & accuracy has been RE19, have not had the chance to try RE26, but have tried RE25, it did not produce the accuracy and no where close to the velocity of RE19.

Cheers.
