Reloader 26 in 6.5 creedmoor

Well if rl26 works so good in the creedmoor who thinks rl23 would be worth a look? It's a little faster and a lot more temp stable. I have a pound of both I might just try some loads to see what happens.

It should work but it is bulkier and may not reach pressure. IMR4955 does produce some fine accuracy but not quite as fast as I could get Rl 26. It is right in that same burn rate. I do know that the enduron is much cleaner than the Reloder was in my gun

RL16 will not produce the velocity that RL26 will but I've gotten very good accuracy and single digit sd/es numbers. The Alliant powders do seem to produce more carbon but I clean every 30-40 rounds.

I ran some loads through my nephews 20" Tikka t3x. I was pretty impressed. Never did get any ejector, primers were def flat, slight catering in the top end. No crunch but compressed. Thr Berger should be able to take more powder, but there is a very wide node there at 2800fps. The eldx had two vo nodes. These were all shot at 95° temps outside, ammo sitting in the sun, freaking HOT. Def going to play around at the 49.3-49.5gr area with the Berger 140s.

People think just because your primers arent blowing out your not over pressue. The brass can take 70k. A lot of folks are pushing their creedmoors harder than they think. It's not a 6.5 284 even with reloader 26.

No, it's not, but if you run Reloder 26 in a 7.5 284 you'll see the same gains. 3000fps with a 147 is a pretty common occurrence with a 6.5 Creed and a 26" barrel. Berger even has load data with their 135 classic hunter. Figure 25fps loss per inch and you're at 2877 with a 135
