Recommend a powder scale?

Then I got an RCBS Chargemaster. I liked the fact that it not only weighed a charge, it also threw the charge and trickled powder until the weight was correct.
I throw my initial charge with the Chargemaster Lite (set for .10 under my target amount) then transfer the pan to the A&D and trickle up to the kernel with the Dandy Trickler. The Chargemaster Lite does drift a bit, but it's not problem since I just use it to throw bulk charges anyways. ;)

If anyone is Is still looking Midsouth has the RCBS Chargemaster 1500 Combo on sale for $319 and RCBS is offering a $75 rebate until 31 Aug 2020,
So for about $250 after rebate and if it fits your needs, not a bad deal considering other online retailers has it on sale For $379 before rebate. Hopefully this helps someone.
I took advantage of this, but with the Lite. Anyone who isnt looking to take out a second mortgage for the A&D this is a great option right now. Just know it will take about 10 days to ship from Midsouth

I have an old Bonanza beam scale I bought maybe 45 years ago that's nuts on when compared to bullet weights or other calibration weights. I usually don't load more than a box at a time. Also got a nifty little battery operated unit from Graf n Sons that's handy if you want to weigh a batch of cases. Accuracy with that is +/- .2 grains. Good enough for most stuff. That unit from Grizzly looks like a good deal for the average reloader.

I've only ever used a measure for handgun loads and never a trickler. Just my plastic spoon.

You made a good decision. Then there are the add on to set your powder drop by your smart phone, drop charger and trickle charger so hold on to your wallet. Goo luck. Enjoy. I have certainly liked mine. 👍

My first was a Hornady and changed over to RCBS chargemaster afterthe Hornady crapped out in less than a year. They sent me a new one free of charge and I never took it out the box and sold it. I always calibrate before loads and it's been steady going for quite some time.

Do you gents take those high dollar scales to the range when you need to load ammo for a match?
Nope I have a fairly close range and work up loads then shoot them at the range. I need to get a set up that I can take to the range to get more time out of my range trips in all honesty haha.

What's the rage on electronic powder scales these days? My 20yr old Dillon(Pact) is having some load cell issues I'm afraid, as it needs constant recalibration. Looks like most of the stuff is made in China.
I sent mine back to Dillon and for 85 dollars they sent me a brand new one free shipping

Bald Eagle scale. They're like $60 on Grizzly.com. That's all I use anymore. Let it warm up, tare the pan every 4-5 charges and it's very good. Accurate to +- a kernel from my experience and testing.

They are on clearance there for $49.95 IIRC along with some other items. The head honcho is an F Class shooter which is why they even carry the stuff. I loaded up on bore mops awhile back. I'm tempted to buy one.
