I am curious how you arrived at the 'known' weights for the bullets?
To me the advantage of check weights is that they are weighed on certified calibrated instruments and that they are made of materials not likely to wear or otherwise change mass in long term use. That is not a claim that can be made of a bullet.
Does the drift only veer off in one direction? That seems unlikely, but I'll guess it's possible. My experience with similar systems has been that the drift magnitude and direction are both random. Given that, it is possible that the drift could cross "zero" again at some random point.
