hey guys, got a question of comparable recoil. what other cartridges could these be likened to? in an equal weight rifle.
6.5 Grendel. Good to 3-400 on deer and zero felt recoil. Is there anywhere that has a number rating to the recoil? Seems to me I saw an article that had a number value attached to it with the 6.5x55 having a value of 12.9, 30:06 at 23 but 6.5x47 wasn't listed.
I'm looking at a hunting rifle for my fiancée and she is concerned about recoil (currently shooting a .223 no problem) and was considering a 6.5x55 because of the low recoil and ability to take any game around my place within the distances presented. Then I started thinking about the 6.5x47 but can't find much info on it as far as recoil goes. I wouldn't think it would be too bad but.... don't want to scare her off of shooting or hunting by giving her something that is going to hurt her.
Yeah I know - old post but it came up in a search I did

Thank youDitto! One of the best calculator around for felt recoil comparison.
