Ramshot Powders?

I use ramshot magnum, in my .338. No complaints here.

I've tested it for temp stability and found it to do well. Barnes also tested it and found it to do well also. Where I live I have the ablity to test from 20- 110 degrees and the worst variation I've found is 20 FPS.

Is that all different Ramshot powders or specific powders?

I tried Magnum in my 300PRC. I got excellent accuracy but was only pushing a 225 at 2550-2600. I have been told in some cases it is slow; this was too slow for that casing. It meters well and was accurate; I have 8lbs so I'll try it in something else.

All powders I've used. I've tested xtermanator, t a c, hunter, and magnum. Next will be big game the last one to test.

Finally got around to using the Accurate Magpro in my 25-06 AI. This was during the ladder test while fire forming Winchester 25-06 Brass. Tried 4 different charges with the Black Jack Ace 131 and all were MOA or better. This was the best! Yes I know its only 3 shots but I will take it.

I just ordered some Magnum in hopes that it performs like Retumbo or at least close to it. Also ordered some TAC and accurate Magpro. It seemed to be in stock everywhere I looked. When it finally ships hopefully it shows some promise.

Just tried Mag Pro in my 338 Lapua it is a spherical powder and I ran into pressure signs early with lower velocities than what I'm used to and it was all over the place accuracy was not even close

I know you didn't originally post this. But, was just wandering. How people say, they get faster speeds out of Retumbo, than other .338 powders. If it is on the lower side of burn rate.

If I understand your question... One can get more velocity from a slower powder because one can use more of it without get into high pressure.

I've used them for years for general hunting purposes in standard weight calibers based off 308 or 06 cases. They have performed as good and in most cases for my uses, a little better than other brands.

Have been running it in 6.5 creedmoor with 147gr eldm. Here is a 10 shot group at 100 from today before banging steel at 1000.
