QUARTER BORE SST??

Happy, now that you've had the last say so? You ought to be a preacher. Because your lofty theoretical commentaries exceed your lower level critiquing posts.

WOW, I see that you're still bitter about the past. That's quite some time ago and I have since moved on. You should do the same and you'll feel better. God bless!

Not bitter. After all, I never suffered any historical losses to cause bitterness.

Your commentary in this Thread provide continuing examples of why you've earned the title Forum Sheriff. You either can't recognize it for what it is, or you recognize it and enjoy it.

You've mellowed over the years, yet still patrol the Threads and periodically endow us with your version of enlightened wisdom. Never saw where MudRunner2005 requested it...

Nothing more to it than that.

Ha! You can't pass up a good scrap! Lol!

What, are you Irish?

Steve

Wish I enjoyed some of their luck. Most luck that happens my way I could do without. Like the tree that falls on the vehicle while camping. Guy I'm with says lucky for me it didn't cause worse vehicle damage. I'm shaking my head saying had I been lucky, it wouldn't have landed on my vehicle...

LOL, thanks ...

Rich,

My sincere apologies. Cheers!

I have run RL33 in the 6.5 ss with a 160 Matrix past 3100'. You can even use it down to 140 at 3300'.
It proved to be a little too slow in the 6 sst and maxed out of capacity just below 3400 with low pressure behind a 110 Sierra. Retumbo reached almost 3500'.
It may work in the 25 if I can put enough throat in it and still keep a reasonable mag length?

Back to the normally schedule program cough cough

Well that answers some questions. Retumbo 3500 from the 110 smk WOW!!!!! Thats a lazer beam. Thats only 5 mils of elevation @1k half a rev of the turret.

Thats inside a maxd out throated 28 Nosler throwing 197smk@3k by 50" @1k and half the recoil.

Think I would go with a nitrided barrel on that one though.

My guess is 3300 is very doable. That will get it close to the best 6 and 6.5 best bullets. That should make some 1/4 bore guys all kinds of happy.

Still can not believe the 338SS is knocking @ the door to 2900 with a 250 hybrid.

That combo of lack of taper and sharp shoulder is allowing these cases to have lonh lives at pressures that just jack the effeincy thru the roof. This really is great design that hits powder vol that allows for ideal powders to be used. Fun to watch it all develop.

Hey Rich I need your shipping address. Thought I had it in my fedex list but must have used usps before, so I don't have it.

Steve

I am ordering several sets of FORSTER dies in 6mm, 25, and 6.5 SST. I plan on getting the full length benchrest sizers. and a combination of benchrest and micrometer seaters. My question is, how many people actually plan on building a 25, and which seater would you prefer? thanks/Rich

I'd be fine with either but put me down for Micro if you are keeping a list.

25 of course lol
