I had 300 prc brass with the same issue and they told me it was designed that way and my Redding die was outta spec.

On the ammo availability front, Turners Outdoorsman (California and 1 shop in Arizona I think) had 4 boxes of the Precision Hunter 175 in stock as of about 1 hour ago. It is not listed on their website but I believe you find someone at the counter who will track it down for you. I lucked into finding it after mentioning I'd like to try and order some to a guy at my local shop. He stunned me by saying he actually seen two boxes on a shelf at a nearby location. He called and had them shipped to my store within 3 days. When I picked it up today my guy told me there were 4 boxes left in stock in the system. Good luck.

I'll be going though my boxes later today to check on the case issue. We'll see...

I just got off the phone with Hornady. The rep I talked to said he's never heard of this problem and it's unlikely that it would happen and cause issues but send pictures and they might be able to do something man i despise Hornady!

If Hornady is going to send new ammo sweet. I would use some emery cloth on a flat surface to take it off and carry on, it's not going to cause any issues long or short term.

I was thinking about rubbing that ring down a touch. I did notice the higher rings opened up harder

I've got 5 boxes of 175's all lot 80712. Same thing, ugly ring. Waiting to hear how Hornady treats the rest. Bought these for an XP-100 build that I won't have for a year. May pick up a Ruger American to try a box on.
