Problem with new factory 7prc ammo

That's Hornady... and why I don't mess with the factory PRC stuff.
Brass getting crushed with dies and factory ammo issues and stock supplies.
There's just too much not going great for their advertised great calibers.

I do reload Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor brass because its free... people give it to me.

I'll have to check the ammo I bought as well. If mine are similar I will post the lot numbers.

Just checked every box in the case I bought, all primers were seated correctly.
Lot number 3223443

Also checked some more from Lot 3224041, they were all seated correctly as well.

All of them were the 175 ELDX ammo.

the 2 boxes I have are lot # 3224041 as well

It's not the primer being seated correctly in question, it's the raised burr on the outer edge of the case head.

A buddy went to the LGS yesterday. He opened up a box of 6.5 PRC eldx. They had the same raised ridge also. ????? What the hello is going on. Curious what Hornady has to say.

I'm curious as to how and where you are getting your orders for Hornaday ammo as I have had my new 7PRC for several months now and can't seem to find loaded ammo or brass to reload anywhere. Can you give me a place where I can find at least a box or two of 7PRC ammo?

So I have some brass with the same issue from loaded 180 eldm factory ammo. I shot them not much issues but been working on some handloads and that's when I noticed that ring. On some loads they open up harder but no pressure and get a different speed from them. I will be calling hornady hopefully get new brass

Also lot# 3223962 180 gr. Same thing

I have # 3223962 180 eldm seems to be an issue. My other 5 boxes with # 3221854 seem fine

I called and talked to support, sent them an email with plenty of pictures. He said standard practice is to take it to the inspection department to see how it passed inspection.
