Plus ~ $1.50 a bullet and a primer it will cost about $10.30 per shot !! Who thought muzzleloading would be a rich mans sport. Blackhorn is a unicorn for high pressure ML's, there really isn't another powder like it. Funny because I am fully stocked with rifle, pistol, and shotgun supplies but I just got a muzzleloader to take advantage of an early season CO hunt. What if I drew a 10 year plus tag ? This powder is currently out of production but should be back in supply(maybe) in March.
I have a lot of components I won't be using but hazmat shipping kills the deal. I offered a bunch of lead turkey loads to a member for free but he couldn't come up with a way to ship them.
I hope this ends soon but I doubt it.
BTW the last 3 times I went to my range it was empty and the ground is bare of any brass.

If we all relax, sit back for a bit and only buy what we need instead of what we want and can, supplies will increase prices will fall!

When people are buying literally any ammo or components that they don't even have a chambering for it, then flipping it for mega money, that bugs me. I don't buy it. Hope it tastes good for "that guy", when the prices normalize. Same with toilet paper sandwiches. As much as I like to shoot, I'm curtailing that activity a bit and looking out into the future, as I don't think it's letting up anytime soon.
 
Well it pains me to admit that I have indeed contributed to the price gouging by purchasing 450's on Gunbroker. I have a new rifle and my first precision rifle match in two months. Std primers were giving me hang fires and so I needed magnums. Reached out on several sites and the only person willing to throw me a bone was two states away. That being said, price is driven by demand, and I'm only buying what I need to get through the foreseeable future rather than hoarding as I'm sure we all would like to do. I have, and still will pass on as much as I can to whoever needs it with no intention of making a profit. If I went through all my gun related sales I'm sure I've lost a lot of money.

Still not the point, I'm glad that you ignore them but the simple fact is the Vultures that are invading this "Family Orientated" forum that quite a few of us take great pride in is totally unacceptable, there was another occurrence yesterday where an elderly man here was taken advantage of by another , once again it's unacceptable

Trust me, you have done nothing wrong. These threads never end well, most likely this one won't either, so far civil.

I never thought your intent was malicious in any way Butterbean. I have always appreciated and admired the honesty and generosity found on this site and I understand why you are speaking out about keeping it that way. I was just describing my experience with gouging and that it was a difficult decision to buy primers at an outrageously inflated price on both a financial and moral level. But we all know the old adage about desperate times.
 
Most of us have already bought our ticket to hell. Times like this you can further solidify your spot or try to sell that ticket back. I am new to long range shooting and I was referred here to pick up some items I need that guys might have laying around not using and to get help when I needed. I admire the brave for taking a stand against the worst nature of man. Mile High Salute...Mr. Butterbean!

It hurt to watch a 78 year old gentleman on here be taken advantage of just this week by some longtime members. It was hard to watch and read. To me its about as close to stealing as you can get. There are laws that protect certain populations of people. Never thought I would see this here. We have to police our own too.
