Guys I posted about my long time mentor, friend, hunting, and fishing buddy Russell the other day. He has been battling throat cancer and the effects of radiation and chemotherapy for quite a while. Within the last week he has taken a big turn for the worse. He hasn't given up. But I don't think he will be with us much longer.

I also learned yesterday that another friend, Bryant, went into the hospital last week for pneumonia. Unfortunately, after running some tests on him they discovered that he has cancer in his bone marrow. They did catch it relatively early and it is treatable but he is going to be in for a long haul for sure. He's an intesting guy to talk to.. He's in his late 40s. He spent quite a few years in the Navy as a rescue swimmer on a helicopter crew. He seems to be in good spirits right now.
Yours prayers for these guys would be greatly appreciated.

Prayers sent for your friends. You've had quite the bumpy road lately. Just be a good friend, as I'm sure you've been there for them in the past and will be in the present and future.

Yessir. I guess if we live long enough we all go through times like these. I'm trying to do the same for Russell's nephew that Russell has for me. He's taking this quite hard. It's one way that I can give back and it's good medicine for both of us.
