Where are you located?hey...……...I have some 4064 a heck of a lot cheaper than that, a pound or 2 going by poor memory
This isn't actually all that unusual. Suppliers rarely want to undercut the businesses that sell their product- businesses are bigger customers than end consumers, and undercutting those businesses would ultimately lose them money.I find it interesting that when you buy powder from Hodgdon directly they charge you more than their authorized dealers do. H110 was $5 per pound LESS at MidSouth the other day.
This is intentional. Dealers are already complaining about not getting enough inventory. Hodgdon wants to cash in on the extra margin by selling direct but doesn't want to loose the wholesale support when the "craze" is over so they tell the dealer, "were going to sell it direct, but we won't compete with you on price." This is how it starts.....eventually most it will be sold direct to consumer via their e-commerce platform and they their wholesale business will shrink to just shelf inventory.I find it interesting that when you buy powder from Hodgdon directly they charge you more than their authorized dealers do.
