This probably isn't going to be well received. But I have Varget in stock at the warehouse and It is less than $45 per lb. The 8lbers are less than $300 each my cost. I won't say the exact price, but that should give you an idea of how much its being up charged. Most of the Hodgdon is hovering around that price dealer cost.

In my neighborhood they are charging $55 and above for almost everything. I've gone to using powders that have performance capabilities similar to what I've used in the past but are much cheaper.

That was just an example. I can get other brands for less than $30 a lb. I can still get primers for less than $60 per 1000. Although I am showing 0 stock on Small Rifle Primers which is annoying.

So in terms of retail markup, that's not that bad. I used to do 50%+ on many items. Gotta pay for the brick and mortar somehow.
