My first "Long Range" rifle, a Remington Sendero 300 win mag that Robert Gradous worked on and fixed up for me. Unfortunately, I had to sell this rifle to help fund my 2 customs. It was a tack driver.
338 Lapua Improved built by Nate Dagley on here. 1500+ rounds through it and still shoots great! 32" barrel plus brake, weighs about 25lbs ready to go.
Not heavy...about 15 LBS wet, but definatly a long range rig. This was taken out of my hunting shack a couple years ago when the state actually let people hunt!!
.416-.375 RUM is what I would build on the Rem 700 action. Medium or heavy palma contour and at least 27" of pipe. My 27" 3-groove pac-nor spits 340 grain cutting edge bullets at 3000 fps and is my go to long range load. The b.c. on them is .780 and they hold .25 MOA out to 1000 yards if I do my part.
