I live in Washington State where hunting with optics is not allowed. I just finished setting up my muzzleloader with a peepsight and the front globe with fine cross hairs. I'm starting to second guess this setup. I've shouldered it a few times at dusk and it is difficult to see the cross hairs. If you set up your muzzleloader like this did you paint the cross hairs? How has it worked for you at early morning and dusk?

Get larger cross hairs, not as fine

I use a thicker center post with fine side and upper crossbars-- it works better for me

I also have a rear adjustable peep, in the dawn and dusk I open it up so more light gets to my eyes-- in broad daylight I close it down until it just barely halo's my front globe

I've about the same set up....
With the adjustable peep for lr shooting....just gotta keep the front globe center as to the peep....if not you don't know which way you will throw lead....
