I've always heard sweets and Barnes were the meanest on copper. But…also meanest on your barrel if you let sit there too long.

Bore Tech CU+2 for most factory or stubborn barrels and eliminator for the quality hand lapped barrels and i can use indoors without the whole family screaming.

I can relate to that. I've used all that you are testing; they are good stuff. I also use the foaming version, and they work as well. I like using them on a vertical barrel, they slowly flow as a self-timer.

I thought about that, but the time it requires to take them out, clean, dry, and weigh wouldn't be consistent for each one.

BoreTech changes colors very easily. A brass patch jag or the brass tip of a cleaning rod will turn it blue.

BT Eliminator handles 99% of my fouling.

I am surprised that some of the others haven't turned blue. Especially the Montana Extreme.

Barnes cr10 is thorough and fast…and dangerous according the warning!

Which Boretech product?

1) I use a couple of Wet Patches of, Barnes C-10 and, WAIT 15 Minutes ( Go have Coffee ! ).

2) Then, I use a couple of Wet patches of Boretech Eliminator for, Carbon Removal,.. in throat ( Wait a Bit, w/ Coffee again )
3) Brush w/ Bronze brush in Throat area, several Strokes, using,.. BT Elim.
4) then down Barrel with, One more Barnes C-10 on Patch,.. to push,.. everything, OUT !
5) Dry, and Oil with Montana Bore oil, then, Dry,.. AGAIN
Yup kinda, a PITA but, "Works" extremely,.. Well.
Old School cleaning, "Modified" for Me, as I Hate cleaning Guns But, this Method really gets,.. it DONE for Carbon and Copper !
